That is very dissapoiting to hear even if it is true since she really seemed confident in releasing a new album this year. I would suggest she goes indie. It might work for her. At this rate, the anticipation of the people waiting for this album will make it a decen indie seller. Sorry but, what's an INDIE SELLER??? "America is a continent..."

I think he means it could be a "decent-selling independently-released CD"

Are they recording?? Anybody knows?? THANX Maxwell Donna Summer Chante Moore India Arie Eric Benet Lisa Stansfield D'angelo Lauryn Hill Suzanne Vega Tina Arena Well I happen to work in the music industry and this is what I have on the following: Maxwell - due to pressure from the music industry, Maxwell unfortunately had a nervous breakdown and is now on the path to getting his life back together. He has an album that is scheduled for release later this year. Donna Summer - still unsigned to a label deal and just released her autobiography, "Ordinary Girl." She is presently working on new material and selling her pieces of art to various collectors and dealers. Chante Moore - just had her second child with singer/husband Kenny Lattimore. At present no word on upcoming releases. India.Arie - has an album that is scheduled for release this summer. Eric Benet - no word on when his third album will be released but is still signed to Warner Bros. Lisa Stansfield - a major star in England and is still promoting her latest album. D'Angelo - working on follow-up to "Voodoo" with producer Raphael Saadiq. Lauryn Hill - supposedly working on new material but no word on release date from Sony. Has a website where she sells poetry as well as posters. Suzanne Vega - N/A Tina Arena - N/A

Maxwell had a nervous breakdown? And what was meant that he was in therapy AGAIN? What happened the first time? What's the story here? I'm totally out of the loop. And what is the real deal with Lauren Hill? I heard rumors that she was having trouble emotionally but no details? Anyone out there know? I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

From my understanding, he's had reoccuring issues with the lost of his father which has sent him into a deep depression...several times. As far as Lauryn is concerned, I think she's always been crazy but it just finally came to light.

Mary J, Blige,a good friend of Lauryn's,once asked her audience to say a prayer for her. This was around 2001,when it was clear that Lauryn was having some sort of "breakdown".
