Any Favorite Soul-Jazz Tunes?

I guess by Soul-Jazz, I mean stuff Like Herbie Hancock, Gil Scott Heron, Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Donald Byrd, Rodney Franklin, Norman Connors, Ronnie Laws, Grover Washington, Jr.,The Crusaders, Quincy...all that ...

I love Roy Ayers. I also love Teena Maries jazzy stuff like sunny skies, Deja Vu, Casanova Brown Im gonna have my cake and the list goes on. Herbie Hancock is a genius.

Check Aretha's stuff from her days with Columbia back in the early 60s, I posted a thread about that. You'll be supriced at how JAZZY could she get!

For those who don't know, she made a SOLID TRIBUTE album to Dinah Washington back in 66.
