I can't figure out why I keep comin' back and readin' this thread (but I do)...
...But now I really have something to say, I'm not gonna even touch on talent, longevity or any of that...but I do wanna talk about sex appeal...I prefer Britney and this is why...She can preform on stage or in a video and look like a complete slut or she can do an interview or another apperance and look like the girl next door. Janet hasnt looked like the girl next door in years. She was so much more attractive, to me, in her thicker days. She looks a little overdone now. I know someone is gonna bring up boob jobs..this and that..but nobody can deny that Britneys face hasnt changed...Janets has.. not that changing faces is a crime...but it should atleast be an improvement, and IMO, Janets is too much. I wont deny her slammin' ass body...but she seemed a little more real to me back in the day. | |

I like Janet...well I used to.. but sometimes I think she is a bit "off track and confused" I mean she needs to stop trying to be a cross between beyonce and brittney and just be herself. Listen she may have done all off those naughty girl next door type things before the youngins ( I think we all agree on that) arrived but there is a time and place to move forward with your career. You show the youngsters how it is done now is the time for you to do something different.
It just seems to me that she has become comfortable with the "usual type songs" the "usual type look" and the same old dance moves. Nice but we are all kinda gettiging bored with that. and those of us who do not remember that she did this stuff back in the day are not interested in seeing her as much as we are in seeing Brittany or Beyonce. Sorry that is just the way it goes. That makes me very sad... to see Janet just doing the same old same old when there is soo much more she could be doing or at least trying. i get the feeling that someone in her camp is saying "if it aint broke don't fix it" and I think that is shame. she has talent and surely she must get bored with the things she is doing now. She has legions and legions of fans who will love and support her.. I just wish she would offer them something a bit more than what she has so far. I have noticed that the recent photos of her that I have seen she comes up lighter shade of brown every time I see a picutre of her. The focus is now on her ass??? I dunno i just sense a touch of desperation in some of the promotional things she is doing. sooooo unnecessary for a woman who has proven herself already. OK..point taken...let me approach this differently..Britney may be dumb as a box of rocks..I'll give you that..but I know neither of these ladies on a personal or intellectual level, so my opinion was not based on that. I'll go ahead and point out my own roodboi shortcomings..my opinion was based purely on physical attributes....Bluntly, if I had to share an orgasm wit' one of 'em, it would be Britney. what bothers me is that we all feel the need to compare all of these women. its like there can't be more than one popular female on radio. we can like britney, madonna, janet, christina...they are not the same and they are not really interchangeable. music should be fun, right? all this competing (and oh yes, i'm often guilty of it too) takes away that fun. i don't think people knocked joan baez, joni mitchell, judy collins or carly simon for having simmilar styles so what is the problem here? Basically I agree with everything that you said. The point I was trying to make is that Janet has much more credibility than Britney. I don't understand why that is. | |
