Then jealousy over money and stuff on the last album...shit boy got 2 much preeblums (problems u just cant fix). May 11th is the date i think Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

When he did "Cool It Now," you could tell he had some serious issues going on with his teeth, but after the group kinda died down and were out of the limeline a few years, they came back with the Heartbreak album and that n!@@a's teeth were flawless!!!!

Good to see them back. Fuck Bobby Brown. My boy's cousin played key's for him on the NE HeartBreak tour. We saw 3 of the shows (two from backstage) and chilled with them at an after party in downtown Oakland. Bobby was a major asshole even back then. Bivens and Ronnie was recruiting some young ass girls to head back to the room with em. Jonny and Ricky weren't there. Ralph was the only one who seemed cool. I sat and chilled with Ralph for half the night. I remember we were watching Madonna host SNL most of the time lol. Very cool laid back cat. Hope this album does well for his sake. Bobby Brown is stupid! As broke as he is you would think he'd get off his ass and go make this money. Like someone has already said, it doesn't matter that he's not there. I do wish Ricky Bell would do more of the lead vocals. His voice is stronger than Ralph's and Johnny Gill oversings everything. Glad that Jam and Lewis are back on board and I hope this album is better than the last one, Home Again (their second and self-titled album is still my favorite NE record.) I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Good points made their Adisa! Personally one of the best things about new edition was that they were the only Boyband that had different, but great voices that bounced off each other so well, name another boy band (or any band) that has 4 really good voices that sound different, plus 2 O.k rappers (and Bobby and Ralph can rap too)?:- Ralphs voice is corny but fits in well and sounds gorgeous when multi-tracked (remember Jam and Lewis cut "Do what I gotta do", worht it for the gorgeous back ng vocals by Ralph)!Bobbies voice has a swagger that is often underrated by many, Johnny has the deep "Luther " voice, while Ricky's is proberly the most passionate sounding (for me)! "Home again" was saved by the jam and Lewis numbers (and "Hit me off"), with first rate ballad "I'm still in love with you" and the surprisenly autobiograthical, and gorgeous sounding title track "Home again", which has all 4 male leads all doing there bit (even Bivans talks on the fade)! Anyway, if the whole album would be produced by jam and Lewis (who also did some work on ralphs "Sensivity" and wrote and produced all of NE's "Heartbreak album), then their new album could be as important as "Heartbreak" was to kicking off the NewJack formula! (ironically Bobbies solo "Don't be cruel" also helped start Newjack, with much bigger sales!) New edition always made the best ballads too, so I hope P diddy does not ruin this record, but he proberly will though!

Heartbreak was an r&b classic....everyone I knew back then had the New Edition cd, Bobby Brown, Al b Sure, Keith Sweat and Guy.....
I'm ready for them....Bring it guys....forget bobby. I do remember New Edition on Bet saying that Bobby just doesn't understand that when its about "new edition" its about the group and not one person. Bobby wants to be the "star" and its not about the individual.

I understand the dynamic issues they face with Bobby, and that's the kind of drama that can tank a group awfully fast. Flip side of it, though, is that he was the one who went out on his own and had MEGA success in the 1980s. Last year, I bought their album of Number 1 hits. Guess whose songs predominated that disc of Number hits? Bobby Brown, the "king of R&B." Couldn't resist. Brown had a string of well-produced hits in the 1980s that made him a serious crossover star. He was bigger than Ralph, Johnnie and BBD. I think that's sometimes forgotten, what with all his struggles with drugs and the law since that period.

as long as johnny gill chills with his luther turkey gobbling i'll buy it....and his painful growl-singing.....
and the shame is, he has such a beatiful voice when he doesnt go overboard... Space for sale...

I really wish Bobby was able to be a part of the New New Edition album, it's always best when all the players are involved.

Chalk up BBs success to the genius of LA Reid and Babyface! I hated Ralph's solo efforts because Jam and Lewis didn't get the job done. Ralph's music wasn't that far removed from Janet's at the time! I believe that was because Ralph just isn't that good of a singer, cause Jam and Lewis served Johnny Gill the goods! It's ironic that Ricky, Bobby, and Johnny are all better singers than the lead singer Ralph just has the tone they want, I guess. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Am I mean for wanting these little fuckers to retire already? I mean, I loved them back in the day but I really don't give a shit about a comeback. Sing hooks for people, open up a "Dance w/ 5 Other Guys" school - something. Just BE, but not necessarily on stage

I heard dat! He's a jerk to the nth degree. I can't stand him...anymore. He was dope back in the day when he first went solo, but years later, he's the world's biggest ass. And Whitney..don't get me started on her triflin' butt. Talking about Bobby Brown being the "king of R&B". Say what?!??!? She MUST have been high to say that AND believe it! Can't wait to hear what they sound like with Diddy at the helm. I know they still sound good, because I hear a live broadcast of them recently at one of Tom Joyner's Sky Shows. Mmm, Mmm, good. "'Prince is crazy' -- I knew what people were saying," he says. "When I became a symbol, all the writers were cracking funnies, but I was the one laughing. I knew I'd be here today, feeling each new album is my first."
