Dangerous! My fave Michael Jackson album!

I loved this album bigtime! When I first heard it, I was surprised at the deep NewJack cuts, but it suited him so well, particually "Remember the time", which has possibally the greatest adlibs on any track, so powerfull and passionate, I remember when the video dropped, the dancing at the end was top class!

"Jam" would of been huge, if it were released as a single in '91, but thanx to the rise of grunge, the single suffered! In general, that is why the album suffered in the US!
If this album was releaed 6 months or a year earlier (eg late 1990-early 1991), then this album no doubt would of sold a hell of alot more in the US, but thanx to Nirvana and 'grunge', the music scene in the US was changed (or changing) and Dangerous, whilst still a big seller in the US, would of proberly sold 10-15 mil easy (in the us alone!)

I know that only one half of album is newjack but the other half is cool too! Fav tracks being "Give in to me" ""Black or white" and the 'hidden' track "Keep the faith"!

Everysong is truly great on this record (like most his records), but as i love Newjack, that puts it over the top as my fav MJ album!

Give it up for Dangerous! Whilst this album nodoubt suffers from overlong songs (e.g- "Who is it" "Dangerous"), this is one of my fav NewJack albums ever!

(Better than Janets 1814? That's too hard to call!)

Yeah, it's a great album. It's no longer my fave of his (that honour goes to Off The Wall) worship, but it still gets a fair amount of rotation from me.

Fave tracks are In The Closet, Remember The Time, Black Or White, Who Is It, Will You Be There & Dangerous.

nod While 'Dangerous' has some good songs,NOTHING on it can compete with the 'Off The Wall' songs.

Dangerous owns Off the Wall. Off the Wall doesn't have moving tracks like Keep the Faith or Will you be there, nor anything as edgy as Give in to me and Who is it....

Dangerous is my all-time favorite Album. It is so underrated among fans and non-fans. If it wasn't for Nirvana, this album would have been appreciated much more...

I'll go with Off The Wall. It's the purest Mike, and his purest RNB. It's his best. For me anyway. But props 2 Dangerous, as it has it's moments. But overal, I agree with David on this one.

You gotta be kidding.'Off The Wall' is a flawless masterpiece, the perfect late 70s disco/pop/funk/R&B album.Songs like "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough","Working Day and Night",the title track and "Burn This Disco Out" are the funkiest things MJ has EVER done. The slower tracks like "I Can't Help It" and "It's The Falling In Love" are just superb.

Honestly,I don't really find anything that memorable about 'Dangerous'.Yeah,it was a cool album in 1991/92 but it hasn't aged well and it just doesn't have the "classic" status that 'Off The Wall' has.

Many young people should go and buy Off The Wall, and forget about Invincible (rip the good songs and place Invincible on the shelf). Although most of the albums after Bad, have 'their' great moments, Off The Wall is a great moment on the entire whole. Yes, it really is just about 'flawless'. For me, it is the album that put him on the map. It's inspired, even a little fonky (how many of his albums to come after Off The Wall resemble anything to being fonky??)...Off The Wall is so great mere words cannot describe it....gotta luv "Burn This Disco Out".

eh.... Dangerous is better....

The first six tracks on Dangerous alone give it more rotation in my player than Off the Wall does. Off the Wall is cool, don't get me wrong...
