Homegirl is a promising vocalist, so much maturity in her singing and writing which maybe the reason why she's not being supported in that "JIVE" label(since they're looking 4 gimmicks anyway ala Britney & N'Sync who are under that label).

I remember watching her debut video "I'm Your Woman" 4 the 1st time and thinking to myself "Damn, she must be related to Angela Winbush" but she can sing her ass of without trying to sound like anybody else(Even tho critics rank her as the god daughter of Angela Winbush, Tina Turner & Chaka Khan-vocaly that is).
It has a passionate yearning to it YET warm.

I thought I should post an appreciation thread 4 her since she's coming out this year with a new album called "Chapter 3:The Flesh" I wonder what does this one means.

She's a beautiful spirit with a great sense of humor too, I had the pleasure of having a 5 mintures conversation with her in Chicago's airport around the time after her 1st release.

Much love to this young Chi-Town diva,,I hope she doesn't get hurt and stop what she's doing becoz of the mainstream's rejection cuz people like her get their dues at their time(esp when they take their time to evolve slowly). Plus, there're afew vetrans who showed her love(Bobby Womack, Al Green, Stevie Wonder and Betty Wright).
