For me Michael hasn't been relevant in over a decade. Whatever the quality of the album might be, he will never be able to escape the commercial stigma of the allegations. Additionally, his lifestyle and freakish qualities (or "eccentricities", Cloudbuster) have turned a lot of people off permanently.

I don't like saying this, but somehow i'm afraid the guy is too far gone to crunch out another good album. Don't get me wrong, he's a genius IMO, but no-one will b willing to finance the kind of albums he thinks he should be recording to archieve mainstream succes (5 years in most xpensive studios with most xpensive producers). Even if he's still inspired and capable to do it, i don't think he's down to earth enough, or has the emotional strength to take things a step back, write a bunch of songs, think out the arrangements, record them with a co-producer to keep things in check and some first class musicians and release the damn thing. I hope i'm wrong.

i hate the way ppl think mike has not been relevent for anything after thriller...Dangerous was one of the most influential albums out there...mixing hip-hop with mainstream pop...teddys best work was on that album and u can just see that in todays producers eg. the neptunes

i think the public will never accept mike again like they used to...hes something to laugh at now...his friendship with children...his new nose...his kids...etc etc etc etc etc. For me this crap doesnt really bother me...i respect him for being a genius...when he dances, my jaw drops...his voice is one of the best ive heard and his albums are amazing.

i just hope he takes a step back an looks at his life..an makes the changes that obviosly need to be made and gets back to wot he does best...makin great albums and videos (short films!) and a world tour wouldent go a miss! razz

I was just talking to my friend about how some of the cuts ie. "Remember The Time", "Who Is It" sound like the shit Rodney Jerkins is doing tomorrow.

It is an underrated album. If it had been released by anyone else then the critics would have said what a fantastic R&B album it was. Which is what it is. But it's an MJ album so it's crap! rolleyes

I reckon he's got a couple more decent albums up his sleeve yet.

And razz to VoicesCarry. wink

too many d's edit.

As i've said before, he should release a collection of his outakes (like crystalball), as the stuff I've heard has been fantastic! Apparantly he always has alot of leftover tracks after each album so he could easily do so!

(And to think on every Mj single u never got a unreleased track on the B-side, thanx Mike?)

Anyway, a new jacksons album would also be cool and proberly less risky for him as his brothers would be there to back him up! If Mike and the jacksons did some talk shows together, showing them bickering like all brothers do, then the public would see him in another light perhaps, but as that nor any of my ideas will proberly happen....

Anyway Mike, release something now!

(And howz about some Live concerts on DVD huh! Not one has been made yet and yet some of his tours were the biggest in History, now that is just mean as there never on T.V either (except "Dangerous" tour MANY, MANY years ago!
