She looked awesome...A beatiful jazzed version of Marvin Gaye's "Whats Going On"....her vocalizing reminded me of how wonderful her CK album was....

as much as I liked "Come To My House" it lacked those playful vocal executions....with all the talk of her voice loosing some of its "oommphhh" she still knows how to pull it off...

and she looked great...looked happy and trim...

way to go...Chaka *not* mad!!!!

I DVR Ellen every day but haven't watched any of this week's episodes! Now I'm verrrry excited!

Chaka looked fabulous! The weight is coming off. She sounded ok. She turned those high notes out! I hope Chaka is ok! Those tear touched my heart. Not sure if anyone else noticed but Chaka cried during the whole song. She seemed sad or troubled to me. Her spirit wasn't the same and I pray that everything is cool with my baby. Those tears were real! Chaka has said that singing to her was like crying and we got a chance to see her vent...through song. I love you Chaka!

And BTW,,,that C.K. album is my JAM(without the Prince tracks anyway)

I looove Chaka. My favorite album of hers is CK, with Come 2 My House a close 2nd.

I had the pleasure of meeting her back in '99. She's absolutely fabulous.

I wish I could have seen her on Ellen, too.

The Ellen show will rebroadcast on April 9th on the Oxyen channel. And she's scheduled to appear on the Sharon Osbourne show on April 12th.

I saw the performance. As always, she killed it. And she looks great!!! I wish she could have done, "I'm Every Woman". She would have nailed it!!!
