Lisa Gerrard ~ Immortal Memories

Stunning ~ a beautiful and wonderous spiritual journey. I highly recommend this to all of you who love her work or for anyone seeking a comforting, intelligent and peacefilled experience.

i used to have her mirror pool cd but it was stolen. i sure do miss it. sad if you lisa gerrard, you might like some diamanda galas. although not exactly the same, diamanda experiments with a lot of eclectic styles which draw on medieval folk, new age, etc.

Strange ~ I was just talking with some friends about Diamanda a few days ago. I only have a compilation CD a friend made for me but I am very intrigued by her and will be seeking out more of her work. Thanks Tory!

Lordy, I was in a big slump/depression for a few weeks, after a kind of manic overload of creative energy. But Last Thursday I got my groove back and I wrote some new stuff last night. It feels good to be back in the groove again and this time I'm gonna pace myself.

Thanks for asking. hug How are you? Have you spoken with Tron? Hope he's doing ok.

that's cool!!! i love diamanda & really am intent on purchasing the whole catalog at some point. so far, my favorite album is malediction & prayer which gets a lotta rotation in my cd player. it should against the law or perhaps a sin to have that much talent. i'm glad you found my posting to be helpful & you are more than welcome. wink

Wow... I'll have to check this out. I loved The Mirror Pool.

I REALLY miss Dead Can Dance. I'd sell my fingers to get them back together again. sad

I agree with you ~ they were extraordinary together. There is a brief interview in this month;s Filter magazine with Brandon Perry and he mentioned speaking with Lisa Gerrard recently ~ always a possibility for a reunion. I love The Mirror Pool as well. Immortal Memories is as intense but in a quieter deeply introspective manner. Incredibly spiritual and calming. Her voice is as amazing as ever. If anyone would like a copy send me an org note with your address and it'll be on it's way!
