TEENA MARIE<RICK JAMES<THE TIME IN DETROIT! TEENA TURNED IT OUT TEENA MARIE TORE THE STAGE UP IN DETROIT SUNDAY MARCH 21st. She carried RICK JAMES like some old ass baggage. SHE upstaged him in every way. I wish he wouldnt have been there. She needs to perform by herself to get the full effect of her greatness. She was absolutly phenomenal. I felt sorry for Rick because he seemed tired which disappointed me because I love his music too but his performance was tired and mainly all he did was stand there and stick his big belly out and talk and cuss,. Teena ripped the stage up. She is a little box of Dynamite. She alsoo sang her new song and had the audience just roaring for her. | |

I saw Teena in concert several years ago and she is just amazing.Soulful drama at it's best! I can't wait for her new CD. | |

Teena is one BAAD AZZ BITCH! (That's a good thing) I have seen her many times over the last twenty years and she always puts on a good show. You always get your money's worth with Teena. She never got her props from the music industry because she sounded "too black", Motown didn't even put her photo on her first album because they didn't think it would sell if people knew she was white. As far as Rick goes, he had a stroke a few years ago (most never recover from an incident of this nature) So that is why he is probably fat (from medications-they make you swell/bloat up) and he physically probably never fully recovered from this incident.

Peace, Serveitupfrankie* I saw Rick's first show after he was let out of Folsom prison. He was here in Sacramento (Confunkshun opened for him) Dude was fat then. What was hella funny was he was trying to squeez into the same fits he wore 10 years earlier. One vest he had on was killing me. He only had one button buttoned up lol.
