Brighton Township (AP)- Former Motown Producer, writer, and singer Johnny Bristol, who worked with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and Maarvin Gaye, has died. He was 65.
Bristol died Sunday morning at his Livingston County home, about 40 miles west of Detroit. He apparently died of natural causes, state police said, and results of an autopsy were not immediately available.
Born in Morganstown, N.C., he recorded, " Someday We'll Be Together" with singing partner Jackie Beavers in 1961. Bristol later sang background vocals on the Supremes 1969 hit version of the song.

Bristol also produced and wrote for Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, and The Four Tops and Junior Walker. He left Motown in 1973 and recorded albums with MGM and Alantic in the 1970's.
"He was my best friend and he was a honorable guy" said Billy Wilson, president of the Motown Alumni Association.
Bristol married Iris Gordy, niece of Motown founder Berry Gordy. He is survived by his son Johnny Bristol of Atlanta and Shanna Mueller of Wayne County's Canton Township.
Wilson said Bristol would be buried next to his father in Morganstown.

I remember Johnny Bristol.In 1974,he had a huge hit of his own with "Hang On In There Baby".Very talented producer and songwriter.
