George Michael - Patience I live here in the States and just recently ordered and received my copy of George Michael's "Patience". I must say that while I don't agree with all of what he has to say, still I was very impressed. The songwriting, arrangements and vocals were absolutely outstanding. From this standpoint alone I would recommend it as a must have for everyone.
For those of you who do not typically like George Michael or are not familiar with his ability I would recommend you give this album a listen. At over 70 minutes in length, it is a great way to spend an evening. I highly suggest anyone interested, to check out the track "Precious Box" as soon as possible. Excellent track! The Quest

Can anyone tell me when this will be released in Canada? I can't wait to get it, but don't know when I will be able to.

Well
I received my copy yesterday. I live in Chile, and let me tell you this is a wonderful CD. In a point in the 90's George left us Listening w/o prejudice... After years with only a few contributions for the Red Hot+ Dance cause and with Queen (both AIDS money raise) , he came back with Older (for me, the second volume of Listening w/o prejudice, after 6 years and with a lot of mature and personal lyrics, outstanging production and a proposal that read "I'm not part of this Star-people dream, I'm an artist (fame and fortune included, of course), but I'm a real person too: I feel, I have breakdowns, I love and life is not a bed of roses for anyone... Now I'm free" Then the public bathroom "incident" and the out-of-the-closet news... Skipping his Greatest hits compilation, the great collection of jazzy covers, now, we get Patience... WOW The guy really can WRITE lyrics telling you a story with content (check out Patience- My Mother had a brother) . He still can make a great contribution COMPOSING music and PRODUCING and album that doesn't compromise his REAL life and feelings -love, politics, human rights- (Round Here- American Angel- Through- Shoot the dog- Freeek!- nice eh?) and last but not least, the guy definitely CAN SING and make you SHAKE your butt (Flawless, Amazing. Precious box) But finally and most important for me. THIS GUY CAN STILL INSPIRE. All songs fall into all these categories, I just give examples of what has impressed me so far... Just about 2 days with the cd playing there. Great- great- great... "America is a continent..."
