You mean music that feels too good to believe, even though I am at the same time aware it really does me bad in the end?

So, basically it's another "Who are your favourite music artists other than Prince?" list. lol

Hey, buddy, if you can't see the uniqueness and ingenuity inherent in this thread, that's your problem. lol

lol I see the uniqueness of it! There are a lot of artists I love (see profile), but none make me feel the way Prince and Janet do!

I respect the ingenuity, ThreadBare! wink

As a fan of modern (80s, 90s) R&B (which is really "R" without any "B"), my tastes revolve around the SUPER PRODUCERS, not so much the artists.

There4 I will purchase anything written & produced by

JIMMY JAM & TERRY LEWIS
BABYFACE (as both performer and his productions)
TEDDY RILEY (altho' he's fallen off in recent years)
DALLAS AUSTIN (ditto)

JERMAINE DUPRI
PUFFY

(I can take or leave those guys)

TIMBALAND (hasn't MISSed a beat)

DARKCHILD (remodelling his sound)

THE NEPTUNES (the HOTTEST at the moment)

You love whom????

Just kidding. Tori's a talent. Even this choirboy sat up and took notice upon seeing her "God" video the first time (and the second, third, fourth...). That and "Cornflake Girl" snag my ear every time. The whole anti-Christian thing, though, gets in the way of me actually breaking down and purchasing her stuff. Can't get into stuff that leaves me all conflicted. "I dig the music, but her lyrics are just so against what I live by..." lol

i can respect anyone's religious views but i don't think tori's statements should effect anyone's respect for her musicianship or overall work. there are cds of hers that you would probably like of hers though such as scarlet's walk for example that don't really go against what you live by. you should try that.
