Oh he offered him the gig alright, but Alex got too much cockieness in his middle finger that could fullfil the time's asses. Prince(as the crazy cat he was) wanted to make Alex into something he wanted, build up his image and do exactly what he exaclty did to Morris but Alex being the confident cat he was didn't have it so he got out. | |

I REMEMBER A INTERVIEW IN ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE WITH ALEX & HE WAS SAYING THAT IF HE WANTED TO GET HIGH IN THE DRESSING ROOM BEFORE A SHOW THEN HE WOULD DO IT, & THAT'S WHERE ARRANGEMENTS BETWEEN HIM & PRINCE TO BE LEAD SINGER FOR THE TIME ENDED & PRINCE PICKED MORRIS!!!!! | |

Broken Heart Can Mend, If You Were Here Tonight, Innocent, What's Missing... almost every track truly great and classic J&L from their peak period damn, I didn't listen to it for some years! thanx for the reminder Harle, I'm gonna dig it up right away  Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green.
