Madonna's tour---updates,rumors,and song titles from her next CD?

These "reliable sources" are driving me crazy lol It's fun getting bits and pieces of information, but I won't be satisfied until we get an official announcement from Madonna's camp (which should come by the end of this month). So anyway, take most of these "details" with a grain of salt. The tour is being rehearsed right now and many details are subject to change. But this is the latest news...

***Madonna and her band are rehearsing a medley of "Bedtime Story/Skin" to see how it works into the show. One segment of the show is going to be electronica/electroclash,so these two songs would fit perfectly.

***"Like A Prayer" and "Vogue" are definitely on the setlist for the tour

***So,here's a list of the songs that are being rehearsed and considered for this tour:

"Nobody Knows Me"
"Lucky Star"
"Like A Virgin"
"Live To Tell"
"Hollywood"
"Love Profusion"
"Deeper and Deeper"
"Into The Groove"
"Don't Tell Me"
"Crazy For You"
"Like A Prayer"
"Justify My Love"
"Die Another Day"
"Bedtime Story/Skin"
"Vogue"
"Easy Ride"
"Nothing Fails"
"American Life"

Not bad,but I hope that more songs from 'Like A Prayer' are included, such as "Express Yourself" and "Cherish".And since this is basically a Greatest Hits tour, she must include her most successful single ever---"Take A Bow".A few more earlier hits, like "Everybody","Borderline" and "Angel" would be nice additions too.

***Could Madonna be working on her next album already? A list of song titles have popped up.These could be outtakes from her last album,or new songs that she recorded in late 2003 for the planned musical.Who knows? But here's the list...

"Pop Pop" (written by Madonna/Stuart Price)
"Lovely" (written by Madonna/Stuart Price)
"Power Struggle" (written by Madonna/Mirwais Ahmadzai)
"Listen Then Go" (written by Madonne/Monte Pittman)
"Curtain" (written by Madonna)
"Da Prayer" (written by Madonna,Mirwais Ahmadzai, Thomas Bangalter , Guy Christo ,Manuel De Homem

"Da Prayer" was registered at ASCAP since February.Thomas Bangalter and Guy Christo are members of the band Daft Punk .

Who wants to hear "American Life" and "Hollywood" when we've still got "Express Yourself" and "Cherish"? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Stop trying to plug the AL project, woman! This is a hits tour, and that's what I want to hear, considering that you're always so reluctant to sing your hits. disbelief

And why the hell is she still working with Mirwais? Is she stupid? She's done two albums with him and he's OUT OF IDEAS. NEXT!

I agree with you.If this is to be a "greatest hits tour",Maddy should focus mainly on her past hits.Only about two songs from 'American Life' should be included. On her last tour, she excluded many of the old hits so this is her chance to make up for it.I don't think we'll be seeing too many more Madonna tours in the future (some are saying this could be her last tour),so give the fans the chance to hear these classics one last time!

And I agree with you about Mirwais. His time has come and gone. It's time to move on.

just for a second, assuming this is the accurate setlist, i would love to see her change it to:

"Nobody Knows Me"
"Lucky Star"
"Express Yourself"
"Live To Tell"
"Hollywood"
"Love Profusion"
"Deeper and Deeper"

"Don't Tell Me"

"Vogue"
"Everybody"
"Nothing Fails"
"Music"

Oh, and where's "Music" (one of my all-time favourites; I love her performances of it), "Material Girl" (she could do something cheeky with that, and it did hit #2) and popular album tracks like "Shoo-Be-Doo"?

Oh, and a song called "Da Prayer" sounds incredibly stupid. Has Madonna been playing Hooked On Ebonics or something?

I'd like to hear AL done live but no "Hollywood"! It sucks! I like the fact that she will do "Like A Prayer". Greatest hits tour! Greatest hits tour!

She needs to give up the whole Electroclash thing, that whole scene is more tired than the Michelin Man.

once upon a time, madonna started the trends. well, she at least introduced european trends to the american masses.

now, she's just going along with them.

But is there ANYBODY in pop music who is actually "starting trends" with each new release? Certainly not your Janet, who is still doing the same dance/R&B music she's been doing since 1993. Madonna may not break new ground every time (nor should she be expected to),but if you take a look at her catalog, you will see that she grows and evolves with each new album. In any case,I'd rather that she do electroclash instead of the bland,faceless,sample-heavy R&B that so many other so-called "divas" are doing.

actually,I used Janet's name but I really meant ANYBODY in pop music. My point is,nobody is really "starting trends" in pop music right now,so it's unfair to hold Madonna to an unrealistic standard. The trick is,to take something that's currently being done and give it your own, unique style, which is what Madonna has been doing for years.
