Simple love songs? I was listening to our local "moldy oldies" station today, and I heard Billy Joel's
SHE'S GOT A WAY...I thought, what a great song! But, it's great because of it's simplicity, nothing but piano...which got me thinking about other great songs which lack big production, just the honesty and emotion of a heartfelt song delivered using only 1 or 2 instruments... Here's my choices, for now: 1. She's Got A Way- Billy Joel 2. A Case Of U- Prince 3. I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore- Prince Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

i want you - Tom Waits.
Really short, sweet song - just acoustic guitar and the man - with barely any lyrics: "i want you, you, you All I want is you, you, you All I want is you Give you the stars above, Sun on the brightest day Give you all my love, if you would only say I want you, you, you All I want is you, you, you All I want is you"
