Sir P McFartney is crap.

Some people just cant see talent and genius
Its okay though, we forgive you. Your common<

Aside from the Beatles, most of the work Paul did with Wings is brilliant and amazing. I just recently found a copy of the "Back to the Egg" album, and I'm just so in love with Paul's work right now....

Flaming Pie and Driving Rain were really good albums too.

And before I mention McCartney again in this thread, I can't wait to hear George Michael's new disc too!

What a great album. I purchased it yesterday and haven't stopped playing it since. It's a real grower... the more I play the more I like. I'd have kept it at ten tracks, tho':

Patience
Amazing
John & Elvis Are Dead
Cars & Trains
My Mother Had A Brother
Shoot The Dog
American Angel
Please Send Me Someone
Freeek!
Through

no no no!

You left off Round Here. I love that track. You can drop that John & Elvis Are Dead to "B-Side" status, though! That's the only one I'd have left off if there had to be a limit.

"Shoot The Dog" is the most surreal protest song since the Clash decided to recast the Cold war as a disco dancing competition in "Ivan Meets GI Joe". It's also his most underrated song to date. It's hilarious. Dig it and dance.

Agree that the album is too long - by five tracks. At its core it is George's most experimental, ambitious record to date, a real big two steps for creativity on the pop planet that leaves his competition still working out that you can't fly on plastic wings.

I'd keep the "Dog", give it its own talk show and movie deal, but I'd shoot the toe-curlingly embarassing personal ballads.

I know it;s only march, but I doubt any album will surpass the brillance of this album!!
It's the best album I've heard since "The miseducation of Lauryn Hill" or THICKE A BEAUTIFULL WORLD

My fav song "John and Elvis are dead" and "Cars and Trains"

It's better than "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill".

Will the George Michael album be released in the US or only available as an import?

This is the sound of a man finally comfortable and open with his sexuality and his life - and knowing that there's more 2 it all than the biz that is 'show'.

Bare, daring, subtle, outrageous, striking - and an AWESOME production job.

nod

Without a doubt, this is the best album George has ever given us.

I still prefer Older.

I've only been able to give it one listen, but so far, I am loving it.

I got my copy at HMV (in NYC) for $15.99. If you have an HMV near you, check it out, I'd guess they'd have it already.
