Normally, I don't like softer rock like them, but I've loved, LOVED them for years. Their music is great, and they're incredible live. Not to mention that John Rzeznik is one of the sexiest men alive, and an amazing songwriter.

Some of my favorite songs of theirs are "Name" (which is one of my all time favorite songs - just beautiful), "Black Balloon", "Naked", "We Are the Normal", "Iris", "Acoustic #3", "Slide", and "Long Way Down".

I like the Gary Numan doll much more!

I'm from Buffalo so they have a special place in my heart! They signed a guitar that the guitar quartet at my college raffled off to pay for a trip to Spain. Plus how can you not dig a band whose first hit was a song called "Sex Maggot" (you'd have to be from B-lo to understand!)

i've loved everything i've heard from the goo goos. they simply rock, and with more hooks than they really need. that's a plus+.

I used to think the singer was kinda purrrty

but as a whole, I've never gotten into their music

the went from kicking ass to sucking it quicker than any band i can think of... when i listen to some of their early stuff, it surprises me that the piece of shit band i see getting played on vh-1 is the same group of musicians... ...

Goo Goo dolls have been around since practically the dawn of time, it seems, and Iris is complete garbage.

"Name" definately is the best of their later work tho. Wonderful!

My band did a few shows with them about 10 years ago in Buffalo. They also did a cover of " I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man", with loacal singer Lance Diamond on lead vocals. I believe it was on the "Superstar Carwash" lp.

I'd never heard of them until "Iris", I like that one...
