Why?

I really would like to know. I really tried to get into this guy's music. I even bought the one he did with Bootsy (on the cover). It can't be that funky if you have 'try' to get into it and still can't! I always wanted to try O.G. FUNK but never got around to it.

Who is this guy and waht is the big deal?

I like the dark production of his.I really love the 1993 album from
Bernie Worrell-Blacktronic science.
Also I like what he did with Miles Davis work on
Panthalassa-the music of Miles Davis 1969-1974.

I don't like everything BL did with fonkateers, but all his ambiant/dub/world/xperimental stuff is so great... Try 2 get some of it on a p2p, u might discover something u like.

BL is a white guy, a bass & electronic music player from NY, & he has produced & released more than 200 albums, from jazz 2 funk 2 metal 2 dub 2 jungle 2 hardtech 2 ambiant 2 electronica 2 world music 2 hip-hop 2 almost every musical genre ever created. I respect him a lot 4 that, & producing so many things, doing so many genres is something he has in common with Prince.

U might hate an album he did & love another, they r 2 different 4 someone 2 love everything, so it's worth discovering more of him.

& they both came close to working together.

see George Clinton's stint at Paisley Park.

both with GC, but not at the same time. although with GC's 2 Paisley LP's, Prince definitly had more input on both then credited for (how bizarre that The Big Pump is all he is credited for)

so maybe they have worked together, on the same music...if not in the studio together.
