From the infamous 1971 soundtrack of "Shaft". While I didn't care 4 the movie, its score was a whole different story 4 me. It sounds fresh and non-dated considering that it was from 71!

Mr.Ike took the stand with composing as well as orchestrating in this ditty, playing vibes & all the keys with a tremendous back-up from The Bar-Kays which delievered a high quality of atmospheric effort based on nothing but pure musicianship.

One of the highlights IMO are "Cafe Regio's", "No Name Bar" and the funky devilish "Do Your Thing" but my absloute fave song from there(and from Isaac's whole catalog in general) is:

"ELLIE'S LOVE THEME"

I could just get lost in that sexy/hypnotizing gem and have a natural high, Isaac belled those vibes to heaven above. The whole thang's melodic structure is str8 on point!

That whole album is sooooo good.
I remember a documantary I saw called "Making of Shaft"
or something like that & they showed some really cool
clips of Isaac Hayes working the band in the studio,
while the director is explaining the scénes 2 give the right
feel 2 the music.

This is my favorite song on the whole soundtrack. I don't think anyone has ever made music that sexy since it's release.
