About Damn Time There's A Good Ike & Tina Turner Compilation 2 CD-Set

Here's the tracklist,,,

9. You're Up To Something
10. Living For The City
11. Golden Empire
12. I Know (You Don't Want Me No More)

15. Raise Your Hand

DISC 2:

4. Five Long Years
5. Bootsie Withlaw

10. 3:00 Morning Blues
11. Reconsider Baby
12. I'm A Motherless Child
13. Chicken
14. Tina's Prayer
15. Push

Now, I don't know about ya'll but if you think that Miss Anna Mae Bullock started her legacy from that Private Dancer hoop-la days then you surely got alot of missing under you nose that you clearly unaware of.

My fave songs from there are "Bold Soul Sister", "Push", "Never Been 2 Spain" and my absloute fave Tina Turner gem "Tina's Prayer"(recently retitled/repre4med as Tina's wish").

I love the intensity & urgency of her voice, I heard that Ottis Reddings called her the female version of himself and James Brown followed her around just to make her sing with him but good ol' Ike wasn't having it(a typical move from him since he was a possessive sick bastard).

Anyway,,,as a fan of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue I highly recommend this compilation headbang

If other tracklists include the latter title then surely its a misspelling mistake, both basicaly are the SAME track.

BSS...Booollldd Sooollll Sistaa!!! Now what I want to know is...Did Sly produce this track because if you listen to it carefully it's the music to Thank You (Falletin Me Be Micelg Agin). I know they were cool and there was never any lawsuit (that I know of) So I am thinking Sly wrote the music to Tina's lyrics. Missing from the compilation is "Funkier Than A Mosquitos Tweeter." "Bold Soul Sister" is from the album "The Hunter"

Ike Turner, multi-instrumental musician and arranger deserves more credit for the beginning of Rock and Roll than he has been given. He should be up there with Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis, etc.

It has nothing to do with not giving Ike his props...It's obvious no one here knows the answer to this question. On the flip side of the coin it still doesn't answer the question of the track being exactly the same as Thank You...regardless of who wrote it. If you don't know the answer then don't answer , plain and simple. eek
