Your most recent music purchase from the previous century... Hey Orgers! I'd like to know what's your most recent music purchase from before 2000, and what you thought of it... I'll start (though I'm not all that good at expressing puting my thoughts into words)...
Last week I got The Sundays "Static & Sound" from '97. It's an absolute great continuation of their first two albums. If you liked "Reading, Writing, And Arithmatic" &/or "Blind" I'd definatly recommend picking this one up. Harriet Wheeler voice is as enchanting as every, and the simple live feeling of the instrumentation is refreshing. I can't say that any of the songs are the best or worst, this album is quality from beginning to end... -->> This Space 4 Rent <<--

Just last Friday, I bought The Invincible Iron Man #108, 135, 140, 141, 145-148, 152 and 156-158 from the late seventies/early eighties. You know, to fill out gaps in my Marvel Comics collection. Just got PM DAWN'S cd Jesus wept from 1997....I had it before but miss placed it a couple of years ago..A friend and I were talking about it so I had to get it again and when I listened to it last night I remembered why I loved that cd. Truly amazing and very mellow.

On Sunday I went to Amoeba and bought Steely Dan's 'Aja.' (1977) I've only listened to it once so far, since I've been preoccupied with stocking my Dell Jukebox, but I know it's a classic in it's own right. Very soulful. I love "Black Cow." That intro stands out the most for me. The rest of it was quite good for the ride yesterday. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
I was always put off of the imagery and general ugliness that NIN seemed to represent, but a guy at work played this 1989 NIN for me a few times and I LOVE the drum programming and synths on it! Especially "Down In It"!
