I stopped listening to hip hop around the time he was becoming big, so I'm not even all that familiar with his poetry and music. Having said that, I just don't understand the appeal so much. I always think that he's one of those people that people rever after the fact, because they're dead. Would he really have made such an impact if he wasn't killed?

I love 2Pac's stuff. This man rocks.

I like 2pac a lot....my favorite rapper easily, AMAZING lyricist....but as a thug..no way. He was phony as a 3 dollar bill. Dude was from BALTIMORE. He moved to Cali shortly b4 he got big and started doing the whole gangsta thing after it started selling. Having said that, I think it's really too bad that he went out the way he did. Black folks really seemed to listen to what he had to say and he did have a lot of good things to say once you got past all the gang related bullshit. He could have been the leader black America needs....
