Madonna's tour 2004

Looks like she is gearing up for a June kick off date with a show that will be journey thru time. More older material will be used than on the Drowned World Tour. Long time friend and co-writer Patrick Lennord and brother-in-law Joe Henry are working on music and Jamie King is doing cheorgraphy. Seems like its going to be a great show
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna
authentic power is service- Pope Francis

We can use this thread to sort out, investigate and report any rumors/news we hear lol

The latest rumor I heard (from insiders and other reliable sources) is that the following songs are being considered for the setlist...

"Justify My Love"---a rock version!
"Deeper and Deeper"---an exclusive retro mix will be performed on tour
"Die Another Day"---this performance will be an aggressive tango between Madonna and a male dancer
"Live To Tell"
"Like A Prayer"
"Don't Tell Me'---a radically different version will be performed on this tour
"Love Profusion"
"Easy Ride"
"Nobody Knows Me"---rumored to be the opening number
"Hollywood"
"Lucky Star"---an electroclash version will be performed on this tour!
"Like A Virgin"

A bunch of Australian Madonna fans have started a petition to get her to play there...

I found this from a Madonna forum and it makes alot of sense...

"Madonna normally sings about 15-16 songs on a tour plus an instrumental or two thrown in while she changes....so if all the current rumors are true then we already have the setlist.

"Nobody Knows Me"
"Lucky Star"
"Like A Virgin"
"Live To Tell"
"Hollywood"
"Love Profusion"
"Deeper and Deeper"
"Into The Groove"
"Don't Tell Me"
"Crazy For You"
"Like A Prayer"
"Justify My Love"
"Die Another Day"
"American Life" (hasn't been mentioned, but let's assume that she will perform it)
"Nothing Fails"
"American Life"

That puts the show at 15 songs??? So unless during rehearsals she don't like the way a certain song comes out, this should be the tour list (not necessarily in this order of course)."

And here's a new update from a reliable source suggesting that "Crazy For You" and "Justify My Love" are definitely being rehearsed and considered for this tour...

"Madonna was at Culver City studios today.I was not there, but will stop by on Wednesday.I don't know much of what happened...my friend said some of the songs that she thought were on record seemed to be replaced by a live band. She said the new version of "Justify My Love" rocks! But here's the real kicker.Madonna was singing an acoustic version of "Crazy For You" .She sounded beautiful, but kept screwing up her guitar strings and would scream "Fuck!" then laugh...so much for her Kabbalah thing. My friend said hearing Madonna sing "Crazy For You" brought tears to her eyes...more details to come".

feeling ill

Something's up with Madonna these days. She keeps trying to revive the AL project, but keeps doing a shitty job. The LAST thing I want to hear on this tour is "American Life". And check out the incredibly bland nondescript new cover for the "Love Profusion" maxi. WTF???
