NICK DRAKE ROCKS!! I just picked up his debut disc and I am loving it....Now i see why many consider him the prototype for the young white male singers of our generation
A lot less pretentious then Rufus Wainright A lot more introspective, mature and soulful then John Mayer.... can anyone recommend which disc of his I should purchase next? Space for sale... | |

I take it that you have a copy of 'Five Leaves Left' therefore? I'd recommend to you Drake's follow up album 'Bryter Later' which is arguably his best collection of work although all his albums were great together with 'Pink Moon' and 'Time of no reply'. You may like to try out 'Way to Blue' which is an introduction to the music of Nick Drake just to give you an overall flavour. If you would like a copy of it Sosgemini just let me know. | |

just kidding.. and i didnt buy into any of the hype..a few years back when all the media was talking about him i said, "pass".....i didnt give into it all..but while in a london record store i heard the must beatuiful voice...and a wonderfully spirited tune...i didnt find it depressing at all.....i asked the clerk who the artist was (expecting to find out it was a new artist) and to my egads, it was Nike Drake... I am sure that the guy had some skills, I just do not understand why the guy is being hyped so much, it reeks like bone-picking a little too much.
