Old School joint of the day- Melissa Morgan

Melissa Morgan had it going on, she's most definetly a underrated diva. She was one of those voices you only heard and never seen the face. I just recently saw what she looked like, I was surprised cuz her look didn't match the way I vission her 2 be.... anyways my old school joint of the day is

Fool's Paradise- Melissa Morgan

And how did you vision her 2 be, Lisa? Just wondering wink

I'm glad to see my girl at good shape and sate of mind, she been with a clown who used to beat the hell outta her ass(according to her when she made an interview with Wendy Williams last year). She's doing good lately esp with her BET gospel play(I can't remember its name).

Homegirl started her career as a back=up vocalist 4 the lady in my avatar(from 80 to 84) and its obevious that she learned alot from her, in fact that same song "Fool's Paradise" is an ode 2 CK like she stated but unlike Chaka, Missy came from a BLACK CHURCH so the gospel roots are heavy in her pipes.

I LOOOOVVVVE her rendition of Al Green "Still In Love" that she released back in 92 music

I wish capitol would issue her debut album "Do Me, Baby". That was 85's RnB at its finest(If you're from New york, you would def have an idea) along with Rene & Angela's Street Called Desire and Whitney's debut, but Mel'isa's is PURE New York music nod

I vissioned her kind of looking like Chaka khan i guess, cuz that's who she always sounded like 2 me and yes for the longest time i thought she was chaka 2. It's interesting 2 find out she was a background singer 4 Chaka Khan, it would only make perfect sense. wink
