And in 15 years I don't think Andre (who I love) will look as good or have the joy or freshness that Prince has after performing for 25 years. Hell, Andre doesn't look as good as Prince does now.

why does everybody always want to replace older artists? Let Prince be Prince and Andre be Andre, no need to have andre be the new prince. Andre is Prince influenced and he does have prince's 'i don't give a damn' attitude but he's not the new anything. he's benjamin andre. No one will be the new prince just like no one will be the new madonna or micheal jackson, or anyone. That's like having someone who's younger than you come along and say, "hey, i'm the new you!" while not really acting like you at all. unless someone goes out and creates a prince clone then all this andre's the new prince stuff needs to end. it's silly.

I think Andre has read alot about Prince and certainly has listened to Prince music. I think Andre admires Prince and in a lot of ways he is trying to follow in Prince's footsteps. I especially thought that was true when I read the interview with him where he was talking about an alter ego type of thing he's doing with himself being Johnny Vulture and the Vultures having a rivalry with another madeup band. Sounded a lot like The Kid vs. The Time in Purple Rain to me.

Plus Andre has focused alot on wearing unconventional clothing, just like Prince did.
