It's the shadow that makes it look real, IMO. Shapeshifter said: That's no fake. Her ass matches.

[This message was edited Fri Mar 5 4:13:55 2004 by Shapeshifter] I'm black and I have no business sunbathing I'm dark enough honey you know, i think that's only an attitude that exists within our country (america). in other countries throughout the carribbean, south america, and coastal europe, this is a non-issue; black folks sunbathe ALL the time at the beach, at the pool, luxury resorts, you name it. i'm a black woman too and i have sunbathed often while i lived in florida, south america, and i still sunbathe when i'm on vacation. i personally like the rosy glow my skin gets when i go a little deeper in color ,and i LOVE the way make-up falls on a sunkissed sista's skin. you don't even need much, maybe a nice lip gloss from mac or bobbie brown, a "touch" of something on the eyes (only mascara in hot climates), and your cheeks are all rosy by themselves from the sun- it looks FABULOUS! i'm not trying to call anybody out for not really being into the sunbathing concept if they're black, but i just think it's really jacked up that many of our black american brothers and sisters think that our skin is not deserving of being caressed by the sun because we're already black. except in the usa, this idea dosen't make sense to much of the black population the world over, and clearly demonstates what a number slavery did on our psyches, because here we are in 2004, completely colorstruck and still believing it's somehow "wrong" to be in the sun when we're already black. like sub-consciously we want to avoid the stigma of being blacker if we can help it...good lawd... to the orger above that believes they have no business sunbathing, i would say nono! i would also say get your tushie on down to miami or ft.lauderdale and put on your cutest swimsuit and experience how FREEING it is to just fall asleep in the sun with the waves crashing near your feet. then afterwards, get yourself all cute-ed up head on over to the nearest mac make-up counter, and get a tube of "SHOCK-A-LATE!" lip gloss. purchase, apply, then notice how many folks you'll practically have to beat off with a stick when you walk down the street because you'll be looking so fly wit'cha chocolate self! peace out.

That's interesting to know, but I'm a dark-skinned sista and I don't think I could ever bring myself to do that. I actually knew a white guy who told me I needed a tan as a joke. He was an asshole. I totally agree! I'm a bronze skinned black girl whose skin gets a little glow in the summer...and I like it.I just saw Ashanti talking about getting "her tan on" on MTV the other week. She looked fantastic. My tanning experiences started in high school in my drill team practices. Field practice in 105 degree heat(I'm from Texas) will give you a nice leotard tan line...but the skin that was hit with the sun looked 1000 times healthier than the skin that wasn't. So every summer I sunbathe for awhile,it brings out the natural oils in the skin and does the give the appearance of better skintone, and I don't even have to wear foundation during that time. One of my best friends, who is a lighter skinned black woman, even uses self tanner and bronzer for her summer "glow". Actually, the majority of my african american friends tan. I've even heard Janet gets Mystic Tan sometimes. Get over the "law of the bluest eye" stigma that getting darker has for african -americans people. If you can that is. and Reese... MAC's POP MODE lip glass looks good on tanned skin too! This 'nipplegate'-thing & these foto's have ruined a lot for me. I always found JJ attractive, especially during the Rhythm Nation and Janet-era. Since JT pulled her suite apart and these pics I am disgusted. Her pearced nipples on her fake boobies, her face being not normal anymore.....too bad.
Please take a look at the 'Love Will Never Do Without You'-video, back then she was still pretty, somewhat natural!

[This message was edited Wed Mar 10 21:43:59 2004 by NikkiH] "Pop Mode"? well I guess we know where I'ma be on Saturday morning... ...and about foundation being a non-issue when you get evened-out by the sun- IS THAT NOT THE BEST???? girl, I live over here in Europe three hours from Scandanavia and can you believe my Black behind looks "pallid" with all those GREEN veins peeking out from lack of sun? Who'da thought??? I find myself wearing more foundation these days than 1 did for years living at home in the States in hot weather, just to EVEN myself out and not look like I just left a sickbed! ...and in terms of the "law of the bluest eye" syndrome, it's amazing how deeply imbedded it is in our psyche as a culture; as a contast to your light-skinned girlfriend who uses self-tanner, I have plenty a light skinned friend in my hometown in the states (up north) who are light, bright, sistas (a la Micheal Michelle or Lonette McKee) and they are TERRIFIED of the sun unlike anything I've ever seen. I had one of them visit me once in the tropics and they were practically dressed for a safari, scared that their necks would get dark. In the meantime, all of my tropical black girlfriends were running around swimming, sunning, grilling fish, and drinking rum punch, enjoying life...the whole time I was thinking, "now, what's wrong with this picture...?"

J's tits are much bigger and firmer. no the hell they ain't, lol !!!! didn't you see her little pre-show strip for the hawaii concert on hbo??? didn't you see that video she did with beanie man lying on the "beach" set with that string bikini top on with her tennis ball breasts hanging all off to the side??? that was the very moment i realized why j.j. continually has her boobies pushed up under her chin- girlfriend had some saggy ass, late 30 something breasts (not that that's a bad thing because that's WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET OLDER) that were not big at all! people, i'm telling you that the bigger firmer boobies are all smoke and mirrors! i have EXTENSIVE experience in knowing how stylists magically make boobs appear out of nowhere for advertising and you've gotta trust me on this one! i had a stylist even show me how to push MINE up and bring 'em up 2 cup sizes....it's not that hard, lol!!! janet's boobies are saggy and "regular" sized. that's where i'm putting my betting chips!!! ...i'm not 100% on a breast job though. her sister talked about hers openly when i worked with her, but that was so long ago i can't remember if she mentioned anything about janet or not, although she did talk about the differences between the way they get their hair weaved ...anyway, i think she's in good shape for nearly forty. makes me wanna tone myself up considering i'm younger than she is! somehow i see many hours of crunches and the stairmaster ahead of me before summer comes. i mean, to even remotely come anywhere near that chick's abs and butt you gotta mean business! this photo really makes me reconsider all those sweets i've been eating lately...
