Album Appreciation Thread Miles Davis' A Tribute to Jack Johnson I've been listening to this album for a few weeks now and I must say it is one of his funkiest, rock, jazz fusion albums. The close of the album is classic, with the powerful voice over stating that he is Jack Johnson. I'm curious to know how many of you have heard this masterpiece?

I bought the box-set, not having heard the album before (I trust in Miles to know that it will all be worth hearing/owning), and there is some amazing stuff on all 5 discs. I enjoy being able to listen to the original album too (it's included at the end of disc 5).

omg! I just heard this album for the first time last month
and I am totally lovin it! It must have been so cool when it came out with a 27 min song on each side! I just played side one for one of the guys in my band last night. i was like: here, check this shit out! "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
