Super 70's Pop Song Of The Day(3/01/04)...America-A Horse With No Name(1972) When I took my first set of guitar classes in school....this was among the first songs I wanted to learn to play on my acoustic guitar...it's just a fun song to play and strum too. This is a nice little song.....What makes this song kind of funky... YES I SAID funky... is group member Dan Peek's bass guitar riffing interlocked between the melodic strumming of the acoustic guitars. This is a nice catchy song.....Even though the lyrics are kind of obtuse, you can still get into it.....
"I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain" Enjoy, Brother 9/15 | |
