Earth Wind and Fire "I Am" remastered CD contains a previously unreleased track "Diana" Earth Wind and Fire's 1979 masterpiece 'I Am' has been remastered with three bonus tracks. It's due on Tuesday February 24.
Tracklist--- "In The Stone" "Can't Let Go" "After The Love Has Gone" "Let Your Feelings Show" "Boogie Wonderland" with the Emotions "Star" "Wait" "Rock That!" "You And I" Bonus tracks--- "Diana" "Dirty" (Interlude featuring Junior Wells) "Dirty" (Junior's Juke) "Diana" is a previously unreleased track recorded in the fall of 1978.It was co-produced by David Foster."Dirty" is a funky, mostly instrumental jam.The interlude version with Junior Wells previously appeared on the 3-CD box set 'The Eternal Dance'.The "Junior's Juke" version is longer,I believe, and totally different than the updated version that appears on their 2003 release 'The Promise'. Yep, easily my favourite album by my all time favourite artist.
Yeah, I know it's branded as to commercial heading for crossover... but the quality of songs & arrangements is just amazing. I had wished for more outtakes though Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

But I'm not complaining. This is my favorite EW&F album, and i'm just glad that it has been finally been remastered.

I got this CD on Friday and I've been listening to it all weekend. It really is EW&F's best album, imo,and the previously unreleased song "Diana" is spectacular....a nice slow jam that sounds alot like "You And I".This song should have survived to appear on their next album 'Faces',which could have also used "Dirty" and "Where Do We Go From Here" ( a song from these sessions that appeared on their 2003 album 'The Promise').
