Super 70's Album Tracks Of The Day(Weekend Edition)...The Brothers Johnson-Mistacool/Streetwave(1978) From the album Blam!, released in 1978, the Brothers Johnson served up two masterful instrumentals, "Mistacool" and "Streetwave". In the case of The Brothers Johnson, instrumentals were always INSTRUMENTAL as it allowed one of the BASS MASTERS himself Mr. Louis "Thunder Thumbs" Johnson to do what he does best.
Just listen to the way Louis slaps away at the bass on these tracks..especially "Mista cool".....Splendid!!!! Props To Quincy Jones("Q") and those Johnson Brothers who made some of the greatest hardest funk of the 70's. Enjoy, Brother 9/15 | |
