I'm fimiliar with his stuff over here and over there(not really a follower of his music) I dig his work in the Clarke/Duke and Echos Of An Era projects. I only got that "School Days" album from him and it would be nice if you got something to recommend. What do you think of this album? I want ot buy it(so far, I'm digging most of it) Pre4med by Stanely Clarke, Patrice Rushen & Leon "Ndugu" Chancler.

Just saw him last fall here in Detroit with Jean-Luc Ponty. One of the best concerts I've been to EV-er. He is AMAAAAZING. And he played the CRAP outta that upright bass, too.

I dug his Rites of String promotional spots and side projects. He always seems willing to test the boundaries of music. He's a solid composer (I love his score work). And, he's a bass legend. He also has a wonderful signature tone.

When I think of multi-instrumentalists badder than Prince, Stanley is usually the first name that comes to mind.
