Super 70's Soul Track Of The Day Weekend Edition...Gladys Knight And The Pips-If I Were Your Woman(1971) A great classic soul track from the early 70's. Gladys has always been one of my favorite female vocalists.....And she's good-looking to BOOT...she still looks GREAT!!!!! You'd know that distinctive voice anywhere. She had such a unique tone. She was something else.....And those mighty Pips back her up tremendously on this winning number. This is on the Soul Records label. I used to love to pull those Soul Records albums out from my parents collection and look at that cool looking logo.....
Put this one on and give a spin today.....GREAT STUFF!!!!! Enjoy Brother 9/15 [This message was edited Sun Feb 29 18:03:16 2004 by BRO915]

Hey Finess....that wooman singing some stuff a man likes to hear on that track....OOOO-WEEEE!!!! Yeah that line you mention is one of my favorite lines....This song is from the album If I Were Your Woman released in 1971. On that album, they also did a superb remake of The Fifth Dimension's "One Less Bell To Answer".
