She is 45 now, I really don't think she can play "hot" anymore, nor do I want her to as a fan. It starts to get uncomfortable once you're about 40 and still trying to be 20-25 (hear that Demi? Janet?). She's matured well, musically and looks-wise, and she's still attractive because she doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks of her. I'd have a beer with her and chat.

Without her well-paid plastic surgeon, her well-timed comeback would not have succeeded. Demi is the exception to the rule. Meg Ryan and Farrah Fawcett have not been as fortunate.

Madonna has had some surgery, but she looks her age, and I appreciate that. She still has not had that gap between her front teeth filled so there's a chance her vanity won't make her fuck up her face before she hits 50.

And as for Janet, she's 37 and I sure wish she'd try something more mature than "sex kitten" this time around, but that is JMHO so we don't need to argue about it I'd like to see her get back to the introspective writing of The Velvet Rope.
