"White Heat" lol

"get up,stand tall, put your back up against the wall
my love is dangerous...this is a bust!"

For the most part, this isn't one of my favorite Madonna albums. But "White Heat" would have easily been a Number one hit in 1986/87.

Nope! Good singles (well, most of the time) not so great albums. Like A Prayer & Ray Of Light excluded. wink

Cloudbuster has a love/hate relationship with Madonna. He WANTS to hate her,but like many of her "closet" fans,he simply can't ignore her.If she released a new CD tomorrow,he would gp out and buy it.She has that kinda power over people.

lol

For me its "Live To Tell" and "La Isla Bonita"...I stopped listening to Madonna around "Ray of Light"...she became boring and I lost interest. Didn't even bother buying any of the albums since then, although I did like "Frozen" but I think that is because of the incredible video for that song. I also like the song "Music" but I thought the rest of that album was horrible with the exception of "Don't Tell Me". So, I think the last album I liked by her was "Erotica."

Peace, Serveitupfrankie*

"Open Your Heart" but "Live To Tell" is amazing as well.

"True Blue" had amazing singles and "Where's The Party" and "White Heat" are nothing to sneeze at but "Jimmy, Jimmy" could be one of the worst Madonna songs ever! "Love Makes The World Go Round" is cheesy album filler that is not worthy of somoene that could have done a lot better. While that era was a great one for Madonna music, I always felt she was never very confident in her music ("Love..." kind of proves that) and prehaps she even questioned if this was going to continue. I think that all changed with "Like A Prayer", which was an amazing album critically and commerically, and she was really into her music and writing. I think "Like A Prayer" is the reason Madonna still exist. It wasn't for that album, she would have just been a good dance music artist that had a few big hits.
