'I love a Rainy Night"- Eddie Rabbitt

my friends always make fun of me for that one.

Oh, snap! I like that too! I was gonna mention it the first time I posted but, I thought, I would be so busted because then I would have to admit that I liked The Oakridge Boys' "Elvira." Okay I liked both Eddie Rabbitt and the Oakridge Boys! There! Got that off my chest!

I like a fair amount of disco (if it's on a Donna Summer album, I got it) and love most eighties music. That was a great decade for music. Not into many guilty pleasure slow seventies songs that Davideye posted but right now I'm really into the Britney Spears "Britney", which I borrowed from my sister and now plan to buy the import of. My favorite on there is "Overprotected", which I can't stop listening to.

The album mimics a good part of Janet's "All For You" from earlier in 2001. Just listen to "Lonely" and "Who" (which is on the Japanese import). Also, "Let Me Be" sounds quite a bit like "Doesn't Really Matter" while "Anticapating" is strongly influenced by "All For You". Both are very good albums even though I know that a lot of people hate on Britney and Janet's AFY.

Gasp....gasp again.....

Are you ready folks?

BILLY OCEAN

I dont know why I loved his song "Carribean Queen" so damn much. Everytime I heard it on the radio (too embarrassed to by his tapes at the time...remember all the Arista Records cassettes came in a RED box??) I would sing along. Now I only hear it occasionally at the grocery store or the eye doctor's.

JOURNEY

I love love LOVE this group! I wish my voice was as high as Steve Perry's! "Faithfully", "Open Arms"....the sappy ones I love the most. I recently pulled out the Hits after watching Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci go at it to "Don't Stop Believin'" on the movie MONSTER.

LAURA BRANIGAN

She had an amazing voice and for awhile..Celine Dion was covering a bunch of her songs! Well not her songs...she covered them too! But I love "Gloria" the most....I always wanted to ice skate to that song (like in "Flashdance")...but too scared I'd get my gay ass whooped!

BONNIE TYLER

"..Turn around...bright eyes!"

"Total Eclipse Of The Heart" is probably my favorite of the guilty pleasures.....I can sing this song all day long and STILL make myself cry!

Gotta pull out my old tapes!
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

some trivia about this song...

It was actually written in 1976,so it could have been an outtake from 'SITKOL'!
