Bootsy Collins-What's A Telephone Bill? I'm been listening to "Ahh The Name Is Bootsy Baby" alot lately and laaaawd have mercy on my soul,,,that track is just  who could the funk distract me from this this beautiful?
I've alwaysed thought that Bootsy should've made a WHOLE album that consists of songs like that one. Just too beautiful 4 words

this IS a GREAT song!
I remember playing this song OVER & OVER & OVER again, when I was like 9 years old.. at my aunt's apartment.. on "Side 2" of the vinyl album.. this was probably THE song that got me hooked on FUNK in general! I played this song SO MUCH, I started playing other songs on the album, & then I got into those tracks then got into the other Bootsy albums then got into P-Funk.. I was simply HOOKED ON THE FUNK after playing this 1 song thousands of times! from the thumping, pelvic-thrusting, rhythmic beat of Frankie "Kash" Waddy to Bootsy's high pitched, cartoonish vocal inflection.. how can anyone NOT get.. turned on by this song??? Great song, very sexy...Bootsy is a genius and his bass playing is some of the best in music history. This song along with Physical Love and I'd Rather Be with You are among his sexiest. Moreover, they are among the sexiest of all time. I love the Bootsy/Clinton love jams, Water Sign is another gem from the Parliament era. | |
