80's Pop Song Of The Day(2/24/04)...Toto- I Won't Hold You Back(1983) A great ballad that used to dominate top 40 radio, as well as, Adult Contemporary stations. It was the fourth single off of their grammy-award winning album. These guys were very much in demand as musicians and producers back in the early 80's working with artists like MJ. This one was a nice powerful ballad...with a nice emotional lead guitar run in the middle by Steve Lukather. Great song that sounded really good on the radio.
This is from their 1982 album Toto IV. It won Album Of The Year at the 1983 Grammy Awards. Enjoy, Brother 9/15 [This message was edited Tue Feb 24 4:30:32 2004 by BRO915] | |
