OH MY GOD! THE LOWEST OF CHEESY 80s DUETS!

The video for "you send the rain away" was just on VH-1 classic. Oh my god-so that's how Robin Zander killed his career!! WHo the heck brought these two together? What a cheesy song and video!

Song: You Send The Rain Away ~~ 1986 ~~ 4:57
Artist: Rebbie Jackson featuring Robin Zander
LP/CD: Reaction ~~ Columbia ~~ 1986
Composers: P. Glass~G. Sklerov~L. Macaluso

I was out in the storm
Lost and so lonely
I needed your protection
No one keeping me warm
No one to hold me
To give my life direction

Every cloud has a silver lining
Turnin’ my gray skies to blue
Here you are shinin’ like the sun breakin’ through
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

You send the rain away
Love has dried up the tears on my window
You send the rain away
You’re the gold at the end of my rainbow
Darlin’, you send the rain away

Lookin’ out at the light
With you here beside me
I can’t sleep forever
Your love turned down the light
I know that you’ll give me
As long as we’re together

Seeing you lying on my pillow
Every breath, oh, beat of my heart
Saying I’ll never be alone in the dark
Oh, oh, oh, oh

You send the rain away
Love has dried up the tears on my window
You send the rain away
You’re the gold at the end of my rainbow
Darlin’, you send the rain away

You send the rain away
Love has dried up the tears on my window {Baby}
You send the rain away {You send the rain away}
You’re the gold at the end of my rainbow
Darlin’, you send the rain away

Take my hand
‘Cause I don’t wanna lose you {Don’t wanna lose you}
Don’t you ever let go
Just hold on tight {Hold on tight}

It feels so right to me
Don’t slip through my fingers {Slip through my fingers}
Take a ride on the wings of a dream
You’re the morning light very night {Ooh}

You send the rain away
Love has dried up the tears on my window
You send the rain away
You’re the gold at the end of my rainbow

You send the rain away (You send the rain away, baby)
Love has dried up the tears on my window (Woo)
You send the rain away (You send the rain away)
You’re the gold at the end of my rainbow
Let the rain come down...17 days....

"Black Tie, White Noise" was a deut that they did on Bowie's album of the same name. It was actually released in 1993 and while not terrible, it surely isn't very memorable as I often skip over it when listening to the album. "Miracle Goodnight" is my jam and of course "Jump They Say" is brilliant!

JonSnow

there were some god-awful duets in the 80's, but how about Islands in the Stream - Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton? That has to take the cake. And it was a #1 single, too. Yikes.

I can't remember the name of the song but the duet between Don Johnson & Barbra Streisand was awful.
WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? THERE WASN'T ONE TODAY!
