Old School Pop Track Of The Day(2/18/04)-Daryl Hall And John Oates- Method Of Modern Love

Ladies And Gentlemen,

My favorite Hall And Oates jam(and they have MANY I like)!!! This one came out in late 1984. It is from the Big Bam Boom album. This track is super slamming. Nice groove and flow on it and Darryl Hall sings with so much soul and passion especially at the end of the song. Hall And Oates were so soulful that many of their songs crossed over and received airplay on R&B radio and placed on the r&B charts.

This song kicks hard. A song so awesome in it's form and structure that Method Man from the Wu-Tang Clan had to borrow a portion of it's chorus.

"M-E-T-H-O-D.. O-F..... L-O-V-E"

Enjoy,
Brother 9/15

headbang Hall and Oates have so many great jams,it's absurd. This song is incredibly catchy and infectious. The 'Big Bam Boom' album is filled with slammin' beats and grooves. It's arguably their best album.

OOOPS I meant to mention that this song went to number #8 on the pop charts in the US in late 84/early 1985.

It peaked at #5, actually smile

The 12'' mix is absolutely fantastic (in fact, most of their 12''ers are great), but I love the album version. This is an example of a duo that's unfortunately forgotten and very much maligned because of their 80s popularity (they've been recording since the early 70s).
