I've never had the opportunity to check out this album (belive it or not). Pretty good or not one of their best. How would you compare it to Ask Rufus?

Like the difference between FIRE & WATER!

Camouflage is their weakest album(along with MasterJam) IMHO opinion. These were cool but when they did 'em, they weren'y trying to impress nobody beside the fact that it was as the time when they had their INFAMOUS puplic fued.

Ask Rufus is their BIGGEST effort to date IMHO!

While everybody were going "Saturday Night Fever" back in 1977, those guys on the other hand delievered something that is different than anything out-there. Something that is based on PURE MUSICIANSHIP. This record got only ONE dance joint "My Love Will Lift You Up(At Midnight)" which was very odd coming from Rufus but with this album, they had to prove that they're not some trippy funk band and Chaka proved that she ain't some sexy wild child.

That shit is a mad winner(commercially & criticaly) nod

Why is this one being done before their earlier better albums?

Why the attitude?Im just giving you a heads up.
I have all her in print CDs too, but from what I can see , none of the Rufus ones have been remastered.Just some of her solo albums have been.

I too am shocked that CAMOUFLAGE is being remastered. eek Its not a HORRID release but "uninspired" is more like it. The song "Sharing The Love" actually hit the top 10 on the r&b charts. I also like "Quandary", "True Love", "Loser In Love", "Lilah." While they are not on the level of Rufus early work, its listenable. Now, I agree that ASK RUFUS is a stellar recording but STREET PLAYER and MASTERJAM leaves a LOT to be desired. neutral I actually like CAMOUFLAGE more than STREET PLAYER or MASTERJAM. But this is the question, why isnt Chaka Khan's 1982 self titled recording or her 1981 Whatcha Gonna Do For Me lp being re-mastered on CD? Those are her 2 best solo cd's and for WB to not release them on CD AND for them to totally ignore the CHAKA KHAN lp on her greatest hits release is a crime sad

Harlepolis...the Rufus albums have been remastered? When? The copies I have are in desperate need of remastering (I bought them in the mid-90s).You must have the Japanese imports.
