Richard Marx is best at being Richard Marx, IMO. I can't see him doing justice to any Prince track. But then I can't see anyone else either...so I'll just stick to the originals | |

I love me some Richard Marx, but, he's no Prince! Maybe...MAYBE...Arms of Orion. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

Richard Marx has a beautiful voice... and has sung on many songs that were not his own. He's the background vocal on Lionel Richie's "You Are" and several other songs on that disc...
As far as a Prince cover? Hmmmm.... 
Throw him... "The Beautiful Ones"... yeah... he could do that one with conviction!  |
