New Norah Jones CD + Wendy and Lisa Parts of the new Norah Jones CD really do sound like Wendy and Lisa - Above Ground for instance sounds exactly like some tracks off Eroica- definitely worth a listen.
Overall the CD is pretty good and is well thought out - a bit 'country' in places for my taste but other than that is cool Anyone else see/agree/diagree with the similarity thing?? Loverobot

Interesting you should say that Sosgemini. I guess it would be easy to dismissive Norah Jones' work as 'dinner party' music, and in someway I agree with you in the sense that her voice and music is pleasant and melodic but to some extent doesn't grab your full attention. Musically I don't think she's breaking any new ground on Feels Like Home, however I like her in the sense that I get a sense that she feels what she's singing and appears to have opened the way for good, talented young musicians in the UK-Katie Melua and Amy Whinehouse in particular.

I do like her music and find it chills me out - listen to that during the day at work amongst other things. In a similar vein though and imo much better are Silje Nergaard and Lisa Ekdahl - both have really intersting voices and the arrangements are superb
But I do think the new Norah album sounds in places like W+L - the more I listen the more it seems obvious - will have another listen to eroica and see if I am right or have just gone insane or something
