congratulations annie lennox!

she was robbed of a grammy (for whatever that's worth) but given the consolation prize of best song in a motion picture. hopefully that will sell a few more records and get more people to recognize what a great cd it is!

in a terribly predictable year for oscar, it was nice to see one prediction come to pass!

And, she sounded SOOOOO GOOOOD!!!! So glad she got the Oscar. It almost made up for that "Bare" injustice.

She looked wonderful, absolutely radiant, too. That was a wonderful gown.

I love Annie Lennox... Her Medusa CD is wonderful... I am glad she won and she looked so proud!

She was so giddy up there on stage. Best acceptance speech of the night as far as I'm concerned!

How is Annie a "fading rock star" when Bare debuted at #4 and gave her the highest sales of her career? And she's good friends with Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson - I seriously doubt this was a reluctant move on her part. confused

i read an article that said she wasnt sure she wanted to do a song for the film when initially asked... shrug

and fading as far as the media attention she now gets versus her hayday....i wasnt trying to be negative towards the lady...i think she rocks!!!

Sooooo happy she won! Its a great song, and totally deserved to win. I was amazed that the songs nominated this year were actually good! No Phil Collins or Randy Newman to stink it up!!!
