Jazz Album Of The Day(2/16/04)-Keith Jarrett-Facing You This is one of my favorite jazz records EVER recorded!!! This is a Keith Jarrett tour de force. Highlights include the joyful gospel-flavored "In Front". To aspiring pianists, as well as Jarrett neophytes, here's a great introdction to the super-genius that is Keith Jarrett. Also check out "Ritooria", those are only the highlights I've chosen but this recording is superior throughout. It's basically a one man solo piano recording. It seems that on the surface, this record should get boring...but in the hands of a masterful improvisor/soloist like Jarrett, that's not gonna happen, as he never run dry of creative ideas. This album was released in 1972 on the great jazz label ECM Records.
Harlepolis and other pianists/keyboardists out there..scoop this one up...it is good. P.S. Yes, I understand that these jazz threads might not get many posts.....but that's ok...The real deal here in how many "views" it gets.....I understand that many people don't know of some of these jazz artists let alone their recordings.....So in light of all of that...forums such as Non Prince Music forum can be used as a tool for education. BTW, I'm down for learning, as a student of music,as well as teaching.....No one HERE knows everything and we ALL can learn from each other. Brother 9/15

I have At the Deer Head Inn and I absolutely love it. I won it at a local jazz show, it was a door prize. I should get more of his stuff.
