Christina's atrocious performance of the Star Spangled Banner.... ....at tonight's NBA Allstar game. Remember when she could hold/tried to hold a note? What's with this ridiculous excess of melisma she's throwing in the mix at every single recent performance? Awful, awful, awful. There is a reason Bjork never did the Star Spangled Banner. For having such a GORGEOUS voice, she really is irritating isn't she? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. Beyonce just performed a "Naughty Girl/Crazy In Love" medley. Damn, does that girl know how to perform (and live, I might mention...what a great voice). I'm eyeing her as the successor to Janet (not that Janet's over, just the successor in spirit). | |

I can't stand singers like Christina, they have no subtlety to their voices, they just wail away while everyone oogles over how they have 'such great voices'... Sorry, but just because you can be LOUD doesn't make you a good pop singer! Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. Christina's performance sucked big time and so did Nelly Furtado. Both should be ashamed. The way they sang the anthems was awful! | |

Nelly was nervous and uptight (poor thing), but Christine nailed her anthem. She was great on it. Big-ups to the drummer, he hit a nice set of rolls and rat-a-tats on the "bombs bursting" and CA fed off that. test | |

I think that Christina can get carried away with the wailing sometimes, but I think she has a beautiful voice. I guess you're not familiar with a lot of her singing on Stripped, nor have you had the chance to see her live. Her voice is amazing, and not because she can be loud. | |
