MYA Still MOVING ON Well this girl just keeps on doing her thing and doesnt get caught up in the HYPE and the SHOW and just keeps on doing her thing. Mya is currently in Havana Nights and has the theme song on the soundtrack, she has two tracks on the Barbershop 2 soundtrack, she also has 3 more films due this year, one of them with Richard Gere and JLO, she has just won the lead role in Cursed, a new SCREAM type horror flick. NOT stopping there on Tuesday, MYA will be featured in the new 007 Video Game, alsong side Pierce Brosnan this character was put in the game based around MYA, and also the Game will come with a new bonus CD of the 007 theme song Everything or Nothing sung by MYA. Not only that MYA has been seen all around at fashion shows and different premieres, including a Victorias Secret one too (WO)! MYA has also seen her CD moodring pass the Million Unit mark, which to some may seem like a failure but NOT TO MYA, which is why this Girl keeps Going. Her label is currently choosing a 3rd single and a video concept. MOODRING was easily OVERLOOKED this year, because the focus was all on Beyonce, no one did their research in the RB field. MYA has won a grammy for Lady Marmalade and has been nominated for a few herself, in fact this year was the first year she didnt attend the show since 1999. How the industry Nominated Ashanti I will never know, and even though Beyonce won, MOODRING is far better, its more diverse and just is more representative of what RB should be. NOW if we could only get PRINCE and MYA together, I really think the two would work well together, especially the SMALL CLUB VIBE, thats what MYAS tour was all about. And we all know she LOVES PRINCE and has dreamt of working with him she says, and she has the PRINCE VIBE going on, so lets hope for something, even if its just an aftershow.

LastDecember, I tease you quite a bit about your fondness for Ms. Mya, but I gotta admit: I actually liked "Moodring." It surprised me. I thought some of the material was beneath her, but I enjoyed the CD overall.
You are, however, maintaining that court-ordered distance from Mya at all times, right?  | |
