Stones Throw have always been sweet and this is slick! What a fucking brilliant video.
Click this link of JV's if you like hip-hop! Did anyone pick up that funk 7"s box set that Stones Throw put out? I got one reserved under the counter for me at my local wax emporium. Any word on the a new release by quasimoto? they have been hinting at a new Quas release for awhile now. madlib has a shitload of trax done---well over an albums worth, but he also has over 20 Yesterdays New Quintet albums yet to be released, a psych-rock album, a disco album, a brazilian album, etc... so who knows when the new Quas will drop. he hints at more future releases than Prince & like Prince, we will never hear most of it. label head, PeanutButter Wolf lives in the same house as 'Lib (who records in the basement) & he says he hears a ton of the unreleased stuff, but for every joint he hears, there are another 10 he doesn't hear, and says nobody but him probably ever will. after the Madvillain LP drops, his next Stones Throw release is due to be YNQ's 'Stevie Vol. 1' album (that has been done for over a year now) 1 thing is a guarentee, there should be a shitload of new 'Lib joints in 2004!!!

Yeah man, I've been hearing about that 'Stevie Vol 1.' album for a while now.
I actually heard he had no intentions on releasing it, I read that the people around him loved it so much it started circulating underground, at least that's what I've read. I've been keeping my eye on lib for a minute, but I haven't heard anything to surpass that Quasimoto 'Unseen' Project. I do dig alot of that 'Yesterday's jazz quintet' stuff though. That bluenote project was aight, but I was expecting a bit more. It's good to hear that he's a prolific artist, he's one of the only cats I've heard mix some Sun Ra into his shit besides Spooky, so that's a good sign he knows what time it is.

It's a long bus ride away (as my town is currently vinyl-less) but he lives in my town next to my favourite bar so we meet for beer and he brings my vinyl. Sweet!
