Ever had a time whe music made you so happy?

I had one of those moments yesterday when a local station here in Chicago was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan and they played all of the Beatles U.S. releases. They played whole sides with no interruption and played the entire Revolver album with no breaks, no talking over songs, nothing. Any music moments like that for you guys?

There was this VERY small & NEW old school/quite storm radio station in Harlem last year where they played these songs(I remember that I was cooking something 4 couple o' dear friends of mine from New Jersey):

Mellow Madness-Quincy Jones ft. Paulette McWilliams
I Got The Right Street(But the Wrong Direction)-Chaka & Rufus
Do U Really Love Me-Rene & Angela
Love Me Down-Atlantic Starr
Look Up!-Patrice Rushen

etc, etc ,etc with a whole hour 4 the 70's/80's divas doing quite storm/jazzy songs

And then the devouted the next WHOLE hour 4 Ella/Billie/Sarah's Duke Ellington recordings,,,that was heaven to me. Then they devouted the 3rd next hour for ONLY Bird's recordings(that was heaven AND honeymilk to me).

Damn, I was truely in a very nice mood that night.

Also, last night when I heard Sarah Vaughan's famous recording "Swingin' Easy". It was a long looong time since I put this on stereo.

Boy, ain't nothing like J-A-Z-Z esp when you're cooking or cleaning or even washing the crib's floor. That shit is sooo seductive 4 my ears!

I've been having really good luck with music lately - I've been spending the morning rockin' out to a couple of brand new CDs I snagged at the local Beast Buy (God bless 9.99 new releases), and I've been loving - and I mean LOVING - the new Neil Young album and the recent Cure box set.

I've forgotten how great it feels to be surrounded by so much good music that I can't possibly find the time to take it all in. It's such a good feeling.

Isn't it? I def know that feeling! biggrin

Me personally, I've turned off that TV/radio 4 a long time now. So whenever I go out and hear the ragedy recent music in the stores, makes me happy 4 my lil' music collection in my bedroom.
